Health & Wellbeing
Boronia Heights Primary School has a dedicated commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle within our school community. This encompasses physical activity, healthy eating, care and concern for others in the school, modelled through the provision of a healthy menu in our canteen ,via our physical education program and as part of special celebrations in the school. Boronia Heights is involved in the Sustainable Schools program, which aims to decrease our use of all resources and promote recycling and reuses of resources whenever possible.
Research has shown that good nutrition is essential for optimal learning, concentration and focus and normal growth development.
Our healthy living guidelines are.
- Tap into water everyday
- Plant fruit and veg in your lunchbox
- Limit occasional foods
- Move, play and go
- Turn off, switch to paly
- Stride and ride
