Boronia Heights Primary School proudly delivers a strong Literacy and Numeracy Early Intervention Program supported by three highly skilled tutors working across the school. Our tutors are exceptional education support staff who implement evidence‑based programs such as MiniLit and MacqLit for reading, and QuickSmart for numeracy. These programs allow students to build on what they already know through explicit, targeted instruction.
Students participate in small‑group sessions three to four times per week, enabling focused teaching and steady progress. Tutors work closely with classroom teachers to design learning sequences that meet each student’s needs, ensuring that intervention aligns seamlessly with classroom learning. Parents and carers are actively involved throughout the process, helping to create strong partnerships that support the best possible outcomes for every child.
