Year 6 Visual Arts Excursion – NGV
On Wednesday, the Year 6 students enjoyed an exciting excursion to the National Gallery of Victoria. They explored the gallery in small groups, engaging with a wide range of artworks from different places, time periods and artistic styles.
Afterwards, students visited Melbourne’s famous Hosier Lane to see how artists use public spaces for creative expression. The day finished with a visit to either ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) or NGV Australia (Ian Potter Centre), where students experienced contemporary digital, screen-based and Australian artworks.
