Dizzying Spirals – Monash Technical School
Year 3-4 High Ability Incursion
On Monday 27th May selected Year 3 and 4 students participated in a virtual incursion run by Monash Technical School.
We explored the concept of infinity, equivalent fractions and created some illustrations to help unpack these ideas. We were very excited to hear that these are the same ideas that some mathematicians are looking at in universities.
The students shared their thinking with each other and with students from other schools. We also played with hands on spirographs and a digital spirograph tool.
